England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the this year's Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The three finalists have been recognised for their outstanding achievements over the previous year.

Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a record-breaking innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his remarkable rise.

The finalists were announced live on a widely-listened-to radio show.

The champion will be revealed live on the annual sports awards show on Thursday, 18 December.

The event will be broadcast from 7 PM GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

A mere three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to winning the Euros.

She was introduced as a substitute to score vital last-gasp goals in both the knockout stage games.

These match-saving moments led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.

Later in the year, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the top young European talent.

She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.

"Being on the shortlist for this award is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

The year started for Littler in incredible form as - aged 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.

And he wasn't finished there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, smashing the previous record.

"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

Perrin's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an remarkable and historic innings in August.

Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.

Perrin came in second place in the season's run tally and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.

"I'm truly honoured to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it motivates more girls to get into cricket."
