The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Dies in an LA Vehicle Accident
Vince Zampella, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a car accident in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.
The tragic news was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the video game company he co-founded.
The influential video game developer lost his life when his automobile collided and caught fire on a highway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.
"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, his loved ones, and the countless individuals inspired by his work," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
