Salah Offers Apology to Teammates, Reveals Curtis Jones

The Liverpool midfielder has shared that the Egyptian forward apologised to the entire Liverpool squad after the controversy from his televised remarks.

The Fallout

He was omitted from a vital match following voicing frustrations and claiming his connection to the head coach had broken down.

“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, please accept my apology.’”

The manager has refused to comment publicly on whether he got an explanation from the player.

Team Unity

He emphasized that the team's response was unchanged. “He was his usual self, he had a big smile on his face and it was business as usual,” the midfielder explained.

The midfielder also implied that a player's desire to start is preferable. “I get that there are certain ways you can handle situations,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just be on the bench, then I think that’s concerning.”

Positive Results

Liverpool's form have remained strong in the matches since the situation. He feels the forward's comments were not designed to cause disruption.

“In moments of frustration, it’s always been from a good place,” the midfielder stated. “That chapter is closed and we’re uniting strongly, getting results and on a positive run.”
