Netflix Selects Ideal Performer for Bon Clay in One Piece Upcoming Installment
The Secret Organization is poised to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the major clash won’t take place until the next season, and a cherished, popular member has now been chosen.
Netflix announced recently that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Bentham. This character possesses the power to morph into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve touched with their main hand. The performer, who is non-binary and goes by they/them, will portray a version of that character reinterpreted as non-binary, rather than as a drag artist, in the live-action series, unlike the source material and cartoon version.
Escola will work alongside a number of fresh additions set to bring the organization to the screen, featuring chief Sir Crocodile, brought to life by the well-known actor, a talented actress as another operative, and an accomplished actor, who is also part of the ensemble as the monarch of Alabasta.
Even though Bon Clay is a key figure of the group, the character won’t make their debut One Piece the third season. Considering the next season set to cover the Little Garden arc, this represents a notable change in the placement of the character’s debut, one that could indicate additional alterations to the plot development.
Escola’s blend of sharp comedic timing and deep sensitivity makes them a perfect fit for the character. In addition to their recent voice performance in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised characters.
The platform’s adapted One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
