Esteemed Actor Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Recognized For Roles in Seinfeld and The Middle, Passes Away at Age 60.
American performer Finn, who was seen in beloved television series like Friends, Seinfeld and "The Middle", has passed away at the age of 60.
The comedy and improvisation performer passed away at his residence in Los Angeles, California on Monday having undergone treatment for a cancer diagnosis from 2022 onward, as reported by media reports.
"He considered no one a stranger - just potential friends he hadn't encountered," his loved ones stated in a message.
They continued that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with zest and passion".
A Prolific Television Career
Finn's first television role was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he appeared as the brother of the main character.
He was also seen in a repeating character on "Murphy Brown" in the latter half of the 1990s.
He played the part of a party host named Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, depicting a social organizer famous for delegating burdensome jobs to his guests.
In the 90s and 2000s, he appeared as a guest star on several hit series, like:

- Friends
- "That '70s Show"
- House
His most famous role for his portrayal of Bill Norwood in The Middle, starring in eight seasons of the show from 2011 to 2018.

Beyond his on-screen roles, Finn was a skilled improviser and also taught at the University of Colorado, where he was a professor.
He was involved with a six-member improv team named "Beer Shark Mice".
"Pat coached, befriended and mentored numerous pupils during his career and it would be difficult to find a person anywhere who has an unkind word to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
Paying homage, peer Richard Kind noted there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, helping you be funnier and better. A wonderful father and man," he posted publicly.
Finn is remembered by his partner Donna, his three kids, and his family.
